  • I’m Asma Sheikh, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most vulnerable transitions. I am also the founder of Alif Counseling, a practice grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and clinical integrity.

I specialize in working with Muslim women, couples, and families, offering a safe space to unpack pain, reconnect with faith, and reclaim emotional balance. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship conflict, or postpartum challenges, I walk alongside you with empathy and evidence-based tools for lasting growth.

As a Muslim woman and therapist, I understand the emotional and spiritual struggles our communities often face in silence. My goal is to normalize mental health care within faith-based spaces and provide therapy that feels safe, non-judgmental, and spiritually aligned. Outside of therapy, I’m a mother, a community educator, and a lifelong learner with a passion for holistic healing and advocacy.
